Digitalization is widely considered as the key enabler for realizing Industry 4.0. In the context of the pharma/biopharma industry, digitalization refers to the collective set of technologies that help organizations achieve a state of systematic and traceable product/process development and technology transfer. Successful digitalization starts with process assets/equipment. It is well recognized that the asset performance and behavior is strongly determined/driven by the physical aspects of the processes carried out in these equipment. As a result, an asset can be considered properly digitalized only when the “physical process” context is appropriately employed.
In this webinar, we describe the “what, why and how” of such physics/science-based asset digitalization. We show specifically how integrating science and software infrastructure can lead to meaningful digitalization that can scale beyond pilot projects enabling new business models for pharma/biopharma companies.
