Pipe Bursting

Pipeline materials exhibit nonlinear behavior under high pressure, including plastic deformation which may leads to catastrophic ruptures. Therefore, this compells to evaluate the bursting pressure of pipeline to ensure the safe operations. Tridiagonal experts do this analysis using non-linear FEA. In that non-linear material model with Multilinear strain hardening was assigned to the pipe material to capture post-yield behavior. 10 times the nominal diameter of the pipe was modeled along length in 3D. Engineers use ASME methodology to estimate Bursting pressure value by plotting stress against pressure loading graph.
