Project aimed to create an efficient drying process that would not burn the coffee beans. To achieve this, Tridiagonal created a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model and conducted a pilot plant proof of concept at TRL-3.
Following the pilot plant success, the company conducted a simulation study and experimental study to further refine the CFD model. Then we manufactured and shipped a large dryer to New Orleans Silos for coffee bean storage.
