Description:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth and revenue generation for the EFD Consulting Business Unit. The role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets across domestic and international markets.

The candidate will work closely with the Program Director, technical teams, and marketing teams to convert opportunities into successful business engagements.

Job Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales plans, campaigns, and business growth strategies
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries and territories
  • Generate leads through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, webinars, seminars, events, and marketing initiatives
  • Drive proposal development in coordination with technical and project teams
  • Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, and closure of business opportunities
  • Achieve and exceed revenue and business growth targets

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Manage the complete customer lifecycle from lead generation to project closure
  • Understand customer requirements and develop techno-commercial proposals
  • Coordinate vendor registration, PO generation, invoicing, and collections
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and increase customer engagement
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention

Strategic Planning & Coordination

  • Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional campaigns, brochures, website content, webinars, and events
  • Participate in sales planning, forecasting, and review meetings with management
  • Present sales pipeline, business development efforts, and performance updates periodically
  • Use CRM tools effectively for opportunity tracking and customer management
  • Implement corrective actions and business improvements based on feedback and market trends

Education & Experience

  • 6–10 years of experience in Business Development, Technical Sales, Key Account Management, or Consulting Services Sales.
  • Proven experience in selling engineering consulting, testing services, process development solutions, industrial R&D services, or technical services.
  • Strong exposure to the Indian industrial market is mandatory.
  • Experience working with customers in Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Food Processing, FMCG, Oil & Gas, Energy, or Process Industries will be highly preferred.
  • Experience in handling techno-commercial discussions and contract negotiations.

Work Location: Pune (Travel based on business meetings)
