Description:

We are seeking a fresher FEA Project Engineer to join our consulting BU. In this role, you will support and execute finite element analyses on components and systems, collaborate with designers/ external stakeholders, and help deliver engineering simulation results that inform product development decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and prepare finite element models (meshing, boundary conditions, loading) for structural, thermal, or coupled analyses
  • Execute simulations using commercial FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, LS-DYNA, Siemens NX) and perform post-processing of results
  • Interpret analysis results (stresses, deformations, fatigue, thermal responses) and provide actionable insights or design suggestions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and Client to define analysis requirements, assumptions, acceptance criteria, and verify simulation validity.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation summarizing simulation approach, key findings, and recommendations.
  • Support the continuous improvement of simulation processes, automation (scripting) and standard workflows.
  • Ensure simulation deliverables meet project timelines, quality, and project objectives; track progress and communicate status and any issues.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's (ME/M.Tech) fresher Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering 
  • Good working knowledge of at least one major FEA software package (ANSYS, Abaqus, MSC Nastran, etc).
  • Solid understanding of Strength of Materials, mechanics of materials, numerical methods, structural analysis fundamentals, basic thermal/heat transfer or dynamic analysis concepts.
  • Good 3D CAD modelling exposure (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA) and ability to work with CAD geometry for simulation.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills: able to document simulation approach/results and interact with customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with deliverables under the guidance of the lead engineer/ practice head, take ownership of tasks and meet timelines.
Preferred / Desirable Qualifications
  • Any exposure to scripting/automation (Python, APDL, etc) for meshing, post-processing or workflow automation.
  • Experience or familiarity with linear & non-linear FEA, fatigue, thermal or multi-physics simulation.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (casting, forging, machining) and how they affect simulation inputs/assumptions.
  • Understanding of simulation verification & validation practices (comparing test vs. simulation).
  • Graduate (M.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering would be an advantage.
